When travelling in Italy, I began painting Italian folktales. In this story of a fairy is born from a Citron or Orange and here she contemplates her existence. The dove represents love and innocence and is also an animal she shapeshifts into later in the tale. I have always been fascinated by myths of women coming into existence full grown. I like to think of how we can always recreate ourselves and be our best selves at anytime. This piece is here to inspire you to be the person you dream of becoming.
