Brave Night

This wizened owl swoops in to catch her star. Backlit by the moon, she cuts a striking figure. Owls are renowned for their wisdom and are sacred to Athena the patron of Athens and the goddess of knowledge and learning. This painting is about knowing what you want and going for it. Many of us let other's expectations and plans for us overtake our own. This owl has gone into herself and dug out her true wishes and she isn't waiting anymore, she is taking her destiny into her grasp. Original oil painting 8 x 10 in a refinished vintage frame.
